The treat for me during my school days
During my school days (Thirty-Five years ago), a treat for me will the simple “Bun, Butter & Jam” that was sold in a nearby bakery. Those days when my mother was going out (a rarity) and won’t be able to give me lunch, she will give Rs.2, the price for the treat, and a permission letter to allow me out during lunchtime – my school didn’t have a canteen till I reached 11th Standard (Grade). Perambur Sri Srinivasa Sweets & Snacks, Tiruvallur
Earlier in the day we had a nice darshan of Lord Balaji in Tirumala Tirupati and we were returning to Chennai. Half-way to home, we were hungry and wanted to have a good vegetarian lunch, my co-brother recommended we go to PS4 Restaurant in Tiruvallur near the collector office. The place was crowded and we had to wait for over 25 minutes before we got a table. The wait was worth though, the food was yummy. If you don’t mind waiting, I will recommend the place. Rajakeeyam at Sanjeevanam, Chennai
The meal served in this restaurant is my favourite, it is called Raja Keeyam. A vegetarian meal that’s made using the principles of Naturopathy and consists of 28 dishes. Everything served is extremely tasty and good for health, and, surprisingly the dishes don’t include Potato, Garlic or Onion. I regularly bring my friends here, especially those coming from abroad and they love the food, the ambience, the service and the variety.
