Career Opportunities in Artificial Intelligence during the pandemic

Last year in March 2020, I had presented on campus of SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram, Chennai for their computer science students on Career Opportunities in Artificial Intelligence. This year around, they invited me again for the same topic (!) but for their MCA (Master of Computer Applications) students. Since a year has passed where the job market, the technology industry and the entire world has changed irreversibly due to the ongoing pandemic, I decided to rework the talk in entirety. Today in the online talk I was expecting about 40-50 students, instead I was pleasantly surprised to see over 150 students attending the Zoom call. The topic…

Future of Software Developers in the age of AI by 2040

Just a few hours ago, I delivered a talk for an Azure Community Developer conference. The talk was titled “Future of Software Developers in the Age of AI & Automation by 2040”. Predictions are always riskier, especially one for a fast-moving, exponentially growing field like Software & AI.  Yet, I ventured and explored how Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Automation will impact software engineering by 2040 and how developers can stay relevant. The one-hour video in 4K is available on my YouTube channel above. I have been doing a lot of research on this subject, and I would like to hear your thoughts and inputs. Please share them in the comments…

The Tech Whisperer by Jaspreet Bindra

I know Mr Jaspreet Bindra from his days with Microsoft India where he was heading the MSN India Portal; over the years I am happy to have him as a well-wisher and friend. Jaspreet is one of those business leaders who see technology as only a solution to a problem but on how it can help customers and increase business value.  In his last role, he was the Vice-President at the Mahindra Group, India leading their digital transformation efforts – not an easy task considering Mahindra is a $20 billion conglomerate with interest across industries including Automotive, Agriculture, Defence, Finance, Retail, Hospitality and many more. In his informative talk at…

Career options in Artificial Intelligence – for Engineering Students

As a Professional Speaker, I get invited or engaged for a talk by many (OK, let’s say a few!). Out of them, I try to excuse myself from agreeing to speak at private engineering colleges as I find their programs to be uninteresting and are organised only for showing numbers to the AICTE. Also, most of them are situated in the suburbs or in the neighbouring towns of Chennai, it takes me more than half-a-day to travel there and return. Disclosure: I studied my Bachelor in Engineering from a private college: SVCE, Pennalur. Following my talk last month at Loyola College, Chennai on “AI & Transformation“, the Faculty of Computer…
