Recovered from COVID-19 After dodging the virus for the last two years, I got infected last week. A wave of cold/cough/fever was circulating in our house from the week of Pongal – first my son, then mom and then my wife. I should’ve picked it from one of them, even though my son and mom on the first symptom were isolated in their individual rooms. Last Monday (17th Jan 2022) I was feeling dryness in my throat, then on Wednesday, I got a fever, which rose to 102.8″ F in the next two days. A talk on why do I write my blog?
I started this blog 18-years ago, have written 3300+ posts which have been viewed over a million times. In the initial years, it was a public diary (like most other blogs of those days), kind of my notes out in the open. Soon, I realised as I penned each post, I was forced to research on the subject (I take care to be as accurate as possible) which meant my understanding of the subject became better and in turn, it decluttered my thoughts. Celebrating the 90th Birth anniversary of former President of India, Bharat Ratna Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, the international foundation in his name had organized a virtual event. It happened this weekend at a lunch event, when I recollected the time, we were both in the same (adult) swimming class at a pool in Chennai many years ago. My wall of stamps and collectables
In my den, I have decorated one of the walls into a gallery of the stamps, currencies and collectables I have. This way, instead of these being buried out of sight, friends and family visiting my room can take a look at them and enjoy.
