An unsolicited business idea to airconditioner manufacturers like Daikin, Panasonic and Haier on creating a regular consumables revenue stream for what is now a one-off sale of split ACs. It will be to design a paper-like filter for household aircon which eliminates the need to do regular cleaning of the indoor and outdoor units. The filters will be disposable, and they will be like cartridges that need a change every quarter, sold through subscription only from the OEMs. Each cartridge will be protected with a QR code that needs to be scanned in the accompanying app or a chip to ensure one-time usage and fakes.
Premium subscriptions will come with filters that are eco-friendly, save power and power cool!
