Jawan (2023) is an all-out action film that delivers on its promise of thrills and excitement. Directed by Atlee and starring Shah Rukh Khan, the film follows the hero and his team’s journey as they take on a powerful businessman and a corrupt system. While the film does not offer anything in terms of logic or reasoning, it makes up for it with its brisk pace and exciting action sequences. SRK fans will not be disappointed with this film. Mangoidiots gives it only a Raw, as there was nothing new to see in Jawan.
Nayanthara has made a big entry into Bollywood cinema with this one, and she has delivered what was asked of her in the familiar role of a senior police officer. Similarly, Vijay Sethupathi will become popular across India as a ruthless villain. The background score by Anirudh Ravidhander is top-notch, but the Tamil songs are less impressive. The protagonist team is a five-member all-women fighting unit, which is a refreshing change of pace from the usual male-dominated action films. Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, and the other actresses all give strong performances, and the fighting sequences are impressive.
