I was invited to deliver a guest lecture on “The skills needed for the 21st century” at Zoho’s campus in Chennai near Guduvanchery last Friday (23rd June 2023). The audience, over hundred people, was a mix of Zoho employees from various departments, both young and experienced. The event was organized by Zoho Larynx, an internal toastmaster inspired speaker forum that has been running for over 4 years. I was impressed by the fact that a company with over 10,000 employees across the globe cares to encourage speaking skills of their team members irrespective of their job roles.
The energy in the auditorium was surprisingly high, which is uncommon for corporate programs that are unrelated to employees’ day-to-day work. The organizers were running the program with a dedication and planning that you normally see only for outside facing programs.
I would like to thank Mr. Rajendran Dandapani for inviting me to deliver the talk at their lovely campus. I hope the audience enjoyed my talk, I certainly did!
