🚶🏾After walking 6.5 km in two different areas of Chennai, I realised (again) that our Greater Chennai Corporation has forgotten the concept of a footpath and those that exist even in the richest, busiest neighbourhoods are used by the public (male) as open-air urinals and for car parking by hotels (like the Ramada next to Ashok Leyland HQ, Accord Metropolitan and others).

TLDR;
Had a wedding grade 🥗 lunch today at Hema Malini wedding hall, Royappetah catered by Mountbatten Mani Iyer, and I was feeling full throughout the day.

The best anecdote was to walk, and I did a lot of that. In the evening (9 PM) after watching two movies in Jazz Cinemas, Phoenix mall I walked at 9 PM, 3.5 km to Little Mount metro station and took the ride in 🚇 metro. Getting down at the destination I walked the 3 km home and reached at 10:30 PM. I am feeling good.

The December winter in Chennai makes walking possible but I wish usable pavements exist in this metropolitan city!!
