Monty Python and the Holy Grail (1975) is a kind of a historic spoof about King Arthur of Britain on his quest to find the “Holy Grail”. If you get British comedy and can see the humour in nonsensical events, then you will enjoy this film, otherwise, you will find it tough. I liked it, but the carnage and blood (though all in humour) were a bit too much for me – I was told that the style is familiar to the fans of the famous comedy troupe Monty Python. The film is available on Netflix.

The film starts with King Arthur behaving like he is riding a horse when there is no horse and his sidekick making the sound of a horseshoe hitting the ground with a pair of coconut shells. King Arthur then assembles a group of knights to assist him on the quest, but all of them are sillier than him. In their journey, they encounter the weirdest places with the strangest set of people you can imagine. Did they find the holy grail?
