Strangely, I was attracted to this simple plot. It was about a small-time crook, Buddy (played by Michael Rosenbaum) running away from loan sharks and detectives, impersonating a Lutheran pastor. Buddy slips into the local community and with his unconventional, often ridiculous acts convinces the congregation that he is the real deal. Slowly, he finds romance, builds friendships and begins to care for the people around him. Did he get discovered and the mysteries surrounding him get unravelled?
I was hooked on the show two years ago when Season 1 got released and I waited eagerly for Season 2 which came late last year. Unfortunately without closure, the series was cancelled without having a season 3.
