Package Designers of Electronic gadgets should remember the customers. Their focus cannot be only on making the box attractive in showroom displays and reducing the package size. Many months ago, I bought a Logitech MX Master 2S on the recommendation of a friend. But the earlier mouse (Anker Ergonomic) I used lasted longer than I thought. Today it stopped working, and I got the unopened Logitech mouse package out of storage.

When I opened the package of the Logitech mouse to my horror I couldn’t find the USB Wireless Receiver. I can’t now make a claim to Amazon support for the missing Dongle. Without it, the mouse won’t connect to my PC. The Bluetooth on my PC didn’t detect the mouse. I went to the trashcan in my house, fished out the carton box and searched for anything I would’ve missed. I didn’t find any. My wife came to help and it was she who found the tiny dongle pinned almost invisibly in one of the closing flaps of the carton box. No indication or instruction anywhere on the box or online on their website on where to find the USB Wireless Receiver.

Most wireless mouse have a small slot in the bottom or inside the battery compartment where the USB dongle can be safely stored, and that’s what I expected with this Logitech MX Master 2S mouse.

On a thorough inspection, we found the tiny USB dongle pinned in one of the flaps of the carton box.

BTW, the mouse seems to work very well.
