7 (2019) is a thriller directed by Nizar Shafi, starring Rahman, Regina Cassandra, Havish & Nandita Swetha. The film starts with a young lady (Nandita Swetha) coming to Rahman, a police officer to complain that her husband (Havish) is missing for the last two days. Following this, two more ladies give the same complaint. The police are in the dark about what’s happening – did they solve the mystery?
Regina impresses us by exhibiting a range of emotions in a short duration. Director has succeeded in keeping us guessing about the identity of the antagonist and the motivation, this alone keeps us engaged. Had the Director and the crew concentrated on the screenplay and on the acting, 7 would’ve turned out to be the thriller of the season.
Overall, a film that passes the finish line, and not offering anything more.
