It is the time of the year again in India – the time of festivals. Today in South India it is the nine days of Navarathri (Nine Days) festivals, it’s called Dasara in other parts of India. During Navarathri the dolls and idols of Gods and Goddesses are kept neatly decorated in what is called as Golu in Tamil.
Below are photos from the Golu we kept in our house this year.

During Golu, friends and relatives are called to each other’s house to see their arrangements and exchange “Sundal” – a South Indian Snack.
