The Sleeping Insect (2020), directed by Yurina Kaneko, is a thriller, that’s streaming for ‘free’ as part of the Japanese Film Festival. A large part of the 60-minute film happens inside a city bus, where we are riding along with the protagonist, a young lady, a musician is following an old woman, after being captivated by a tune she is humming. This leads her to a lovely family. The story is a familiar one, with no new ideas shown, but the style of the film-making, a combination of fervency and casualness at the same time, made it absorbing.

Red Sparrow (2018) is a spy thriller played between Russia and America, that keeps you engaged due to Jenniffer Lawrence excellent performance, unfortunately the thrill associated with this genre was largely missing, making the film to be average watch.  The movie is available on Disney+ Hotstar. Murder Mystery (2019) is a comedy, mystery film released on Netflix. Starring Adam Sandler as an average New York Police officer Nick Spitz and Jennifer Aniston, who comes as Audrey Spitz, Nick’s wife. To celebrate their 15th wedding anniversary they travel to Europe on a shoestring budget. Luckily they get invited by a wealthy billionaire to a private yacht that’s sailing near Morocco.
