Siren (2024), featuring Jayam Ravi, kicks off with a distinct and impressive bang, capturing our attention from the get-go. However, as the movie progresses, it loses its initial fervour, especially in the second half, leaving us wanting more. Keerthy Suresh, portraying a tough police inspector, initially excites but soon wears out her welcome due to a lack of depth and backstory, making it hard for us to connect with her character. Amidst the ups and downs, Yogi Babu, playing a constable, delivers some good laughs, adding a much-needed light-heartedness to the mix. Samuthirakani and Anupama Parameswaran are also there in the film. The songs composed by G V Prakash were satisfactory. The film does offer some touching father-daughter moments, albeit sparingly, which manage to strike the right chord. On the whole, ‘Siren’ ends up as an average cinematic experience, earning it a Mangoidiots Raw rating.

The film will be released on Disney+Hotstar OTT.
