✂️ Pressing the delete button in Microsoft Azure for my blog was like saying goodbye to an old friend!

After running it on Azure with WordPress on Windows Server for over 10 years, I’ve now migrated the 4000 posts written over 20 years to a new home. Earlier, I was using the same VM for a few other purposes, making the spend of a few hundred dollars per month worthwhile. However, those uses no longer exist, and now my Azure resources are primarily used for Generative AI workloads and experiments. As a result, the $25/month INR 640 per month paid annually (you should see the price in ₹ to avail this discounted rate), hosted WordPress.com service suited me best, and that’s where you are reading this post now.

Despite having backups, pressing delete on “all resources” was still a heart-stopping moment!
