India Organic Fair 2018 in Chennai
From time to time, the Mother Teresa Women’s complex, next to Valluvar Kottam, Chennai plays host to handicrafts and products made by women self-help group from around the country. Some years back I want for a Navarathri Exhibition that happened here. This week there an exhibition called India Organic Fair, organised by AIM for Seva, an NGO with the support of the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India.
I went to the exhibition on its last day today with my wife. There were over 60 stalls showcasing agro-products (seeds, rice, spices), edibles (honey, tea), medicines (ayurvedic, tribal), handicrafts, handmade textiles, essential oils and so on. We bought two clay Ganesha Idol which was embedded with vegetable seeds so that we can grow it into a plant after the Vinayaka Chaturthi event happening this week and few spices. It was good to see so many people, micro-entrepreneurs from the towns and villages of India working on so many of these products.

A fine initiative to promote organic products and handmade items, good luck.
