14th August 2024, was a special day for me. I was fortunate to receive the distinguished alumni award from the beloved educationist Dr G Viswanathan, Chancellor of VIT University, at the diamond jubilee celebration of my school. I studied my entire schooling from kindergarten to twelfth standard in Shrine Vailankanni Senior Secondary School, T Nagar, Chennai. So, after three decades to receive an award from my school was certainly special to me. I would like to thank Dr G Viswanathan for doing the honours, Mrs BKK Pillai, Mr T C Pillai and the current Principal Mrs Manasa Pillai.

The day also saw the release of the school yearbook for the year, where I had the opportunity to pen an article titled “Reflecting on My School Days at SVSSS” where I recollected the profound impact the school had on shaping me into the person I am today. From the comforting atmosphere created by our correspondent, Mrs Malathy Panicker, to the secular ethos that fostered a bond between students from different backgrounds, SVSSS was more than just a school – it was a community. Please read the full article here, to discover how my experiences at SVSSS, from academic struggles to extracurricular activities, helped me become an entrepreneur and a confident individual. A week earlier to the event, I had a chance to visit the school as well.
The following newspaper covered the event and thanks to them.
