I cried. I cried with tears streaming down my cheeks. I cried watching a TV show episode.

Like millions worldwide, I adore the quirky nerds from “The Big Bang Theory” and its spinoff, “Young Sheldon.” As the final season of Young Sheldon drew to a close, I hesitated to watch the last two episodes. Today, I finally viewed the penultimate episode (Season 7, Episode 13). The funeral scene weighed heavily on my chest, evoking a feeling I’d known only once before—when faced with a similar loss. The brilliant writing and performances, from the young to the seasoned actors, truly moved me. Hats off to the entire crew.

We’ll miss you, George Cooper. Rest in peace, sir.
