The long-promised 5G is finally in Chennai. I got this speed in my iPhone 12 Pro with the iOS 16.2 (20C65) update running on the Jio 5G network. Currently, Jio seems to be running a free trial offer for 5G. Speedtest pictures seen below were taken from a car (I was not driving) while travelling from Marina Beach to Santhome, Beach Road, Chennai. I also noticed 5G in the T. Nagar shopping district near Panagal Park.
In another mobile, this one with Airtel I am seeing only 20Mbps with a Samsung Galaxy S20FE phone. Of course, 5G speeds are said to be more location/tower dependent.
