பெருந்தொற்று காரணமாக உலகம் முழுவதும் அவதிப்படும் உழைப்பாளிகளுக்கும், வசதியில்லாத படிக்க முடியாமல் இருக்கும் மாணவ மாணவிகளுக்கும் இந்த ஆயுதப் பூஜை, சரஸ்வதி பூஜை தினத்திலிருந்து விடிவு பிறக்கும், நல்ல காலம் வர வேண்டும் என்ற பிரார்த்தனையோடு எங்கள் வீட்டில் பண்டிகையை எளிமையாக கொண்டாடுகிறோம்.

In India, especially in the state of Tamil Nadu, everyone celebrates the Hindu festival for Goddess Saraswathi (the God of Education and Learning) as the festival of Tools (in Tamil called as Ayudha Poojai). On this day, in offices and factories around the state, production is stopped by evening, all the main hand-tools used in the place including (select) computers are stacked in front of pictures of Hindu Gods and Goddess – students keep their schoolbooks – this is followed by holy hymns chanting and offering of fruits and sweets is done.

Due to the pandemic for the second year in a row, the celebrations have been low-key this year too; Thanks to the vaccination drive, this year the function is happening, last year in many places the festival was cancelled.
