A few weeks ago, a new restaurant got opened in Ashok Nagar, Chennai. Today after my morning walk, I went for breakfast to the place – Hotel Tiruchendur Mani Iyer (ஹோட்டல் திருச்செந்தூர் மணி அய்யர், அசோக் நகர், சென்னை).

Air-conditioned Restaurant Hall
Simple fare, nothing fancy and I liked it. The ambience was comfortable, the food had little to no masala, and tasted yummy too. They have Air-Conditioned and Non-AC restaurant halls. In the AC hall, a set of Idli (இட்லி), a quite large plain Dosai (சாதா தோசை) and a filter coffee (பில்டர் காபி) were only Rs. 131 (USD 1.8). Comparable to nearby places, maybe a bit cheaper.

Idli (இட்லி) with Sambar, Tomato Chutney (தக்காளி சட்டினி), Coconut Chutney (தேங்காய் சட்டினி) and Coriander Chutney (கொத்தமல்லி சட்டினி) served on a plate with banana leaf (வாழையிலை).
Very bad food
Oh, that’s bad. Let me check out, the next time, I look to go out for my breakfast!
