Sathyam Cinemas (SPI Cinemas) in Chennai was a pioneer to bring a modern, luxurious cinema watching experience, serving a treat to our eyes and ears, they also ensured our tastebuds are not left behind. Their popcorns, coffee and snacks are legendary. Apart from this, their South India Vegetarian Restaurant – iD has been my favourite for years now. Every week after the Friday movies, it has become a custom for our friends’ group to eat at their iD restaurant. I was super happy, when sometime back they opened a branch inside Chennai Domestic Airport. Strangely, I have never been to their chocolate heaven – “Ecstacy“, a restaurant serving Dessert specialities from Michelin stars chef Mickaël Besse. Today, I got a chance to make it right.

Their menu had everything under the sun that’s possible with Vanilla and Chocolate – Tiramisu, Eclair, Bonbon, Cheesecake, Macarons, and more – frankly, most of the items I could not even pronounce! I went with the below two items that I could understand. They both tasted heavenly, but was equally expensive too – along with a coffee they charged me ₹700 (USD 10), this was after a 20% discount I got as a member of their Fuel Wallet, but was worth it.
