A school friend of mine had come from the USA for a visit. He invited few of us for lunch today at the newly opened restaurant – Hamsa, Gandhi Nagar, Adyar – it serves vegetarian only food.
We had ordered Tomato Soup, Hara Kabab (Spinach and Fenugreek Kabak), Pookosu Varuval (Crispy florets of Cauliflower), Daal Saat Nizam (combination of 7 dals), Subz dum biryani, Garlic Naan, Methi Paratha and Mint juice.
The place had a nice ambience, the food was tasty and we got attended promptly. We enjoyed the food. There was valet parking and self-parking available. The price was not cheap, charged star hotel rates – for six of us, we paid Rs.5800 (USD 90).
