The Tamil title “ஒரு கன்னியும் மூணு களவாணிகளும்” sounds like a Malayalam dubbing movie of Not safe for work genre, but actually a family film. Talk of poor branding. The title literally means One Girl and Three Thieves. Compared to Maan Kaarate, OKMK turned out to be better. OKMK could have been cooked tastier by the Director Chimbu Deven had he cut the film by 30 minutes by limiting the story being enacted only twice.
The film is about how life changes every minute, the importance of time in individuals life. Depending on when you start an activity its outcome can be very different. The story in a broad sense reminds you of another Tamil film 12B acted by Shaam, Simran & Jyothika.
All the 3 main characters are well enacted by Arulnithi, Bindu Madhavi & Bagavathi Perumal. The dialogues are well written and comes out natural throughout the movie. The melodrama of Heroine’s father being a Thug, lead lady’s (Bindu’s character) father being debt-ridden, Hero’s mother hospitalized are major disappointments and could have been avoided for a better film.
