This week Mr.Arun Mahizhnan from Singapore, who is the Deputy Director in Institute of Policy Studies (IPS) Singapore was in town. I know Arun for more than a decade now, initially through various online Tamil IT initiatives and during his superb stint as Founding Member & Executive Director of INFITT – in which I got to serve as its Chairman two years back. In South East Asia Arun needs no introduction, he is a thorough professional & I have learnt quite a few on planning & execution just by observing him from close quarters.
Yesterday morning Arun had arranged to meet up for breakfast with 2 Tamil IT pioneers – Writer Mr.Maalan (Editor of Puthiya Thalaimurai) and Mr.P.Chellappan (Director, Palaniappa Brothers). The conversation was quite informative & stimulating for me as I had the benefit of listening & participating.
During the breakfast Maalan invited us to visit Puthiya Thalaimurai’s studio in Ekkaduthangal and we made the visit today. Maalan spared time to show us around, they have setup a modern & state-of-art virtual studio, impressive – no doubt they have been rated as a top Tamil News Channel in just few months of their launch.
