Yesterday, I had the opportunity to speak at the SICCI event titled “Technology & Innovation in Tamil Language Development – Perspectives for Industry” held in SPR City, Chennai. The focus of the discussion was the exciting potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to revolutionize the Tamil landscape. The conversation explored how AI can boost day-to-day productivity for traders, entrepreneurs, and businesses.
The engaged audience raised questions about the safety and legal considerations surrounding Generative AI tools like ChatGPT. The session buzzed with lively debates on the short-term and long-term benefits of Generative AI, including anxieties around potential job displacement and the practical realities of AI integration in today’s world.
