This week I travelled on a train after say five years, and I was pleasantly surprised to see the remarkable improvements in the cleanliness of railway stations, both big and small, along the route from Egmore, Chennai to Sengottai. The non-metro stations, in particular, such as Tenkasi and Sengottai, are notably cleaner.

It’s heartening to witness such positive changes, and I hope this reflects a broader trend across the country’s railway network. I am baffled to understand how our people are allowing this level of cleanliness, it is against our nature.
