T.Nagar Shopping area on the day of Diwali

Today being Deepavali day I got up early in the morning, had my bath, wore new clothes, offered my prayers to Almighty, ate the sweets and snacks; With nothing else to do, I took my electric scooter for a small drive around T.Nagar shopping area.  Time was 8AM it was drizzling a bit so I could cover only Ranganathan Street, Pondy Bazaar and Panagal Park. It was good to see the area taking a break after weeks of hectic shopping season and crowd.

Wearing a T-Shirt & Shorts, bright Orange Helmet, a big lens bag on my shoulder and Nikon camera on my hand, I should have looked “funny”, the Police Inspector on duty asked if I was from Media?. I told him no, I was just taking pictures to see Ranganathan Street “naked” and void of crowd, he laughed. I wished him “Happy Deepavali” to which he responded back and I was on to my next shot.
