Oru Nalla Naal Paathu Solren (2018) should’ve been a half-witted comedy film, sadly, it fails right from the beginning. The story is about Yeman (played by Vijay Sethupathi), the leader of a remote forest village in Andhra, the villagers are professional robbers yet kind-hearted. While on a robbery Yeman, sees the photo of a young girl Sowmya, who kidnaps her to his village to marry her. Harish (played by Gautham Karthik), a friend of Somwya comes in search of her. This whole mix is delivered empty-minded, failing to evoke laughter – in most scenes, we get confused whether to expect something funny or anything intelligent from Harish & Yeman – that confusion also reflects how the characters are portrayed.
Niharika Konidela debuts in Tamil in this film in the role of Sowmya – she is young and attractive. Gautham Karthik has attempted to play the bubbly character of Harish but comes out as a buffoon.
