Anushka Shetty and Arya starring bilingual movie Inji Iduppazhagi (இஞ்சி இடுப்பழகி). I was looking forward to this movie for a few months. The story about the social pressure for a “fat” girl painted with a humorous brush was interesting, but after seeing the film today I am disappointed and sad that I wasted 3 hours.
The story is about “Sweety” Soundarya played by Anushka who finds life tough since she is fat and her mother pressures her to reduce weight. In that anger, she rejects “Abhi” (played by Arya) when he comes to see her for a marriage alliance. Abhi is in love with a fellow fitness freak Simran (played by Sonal Chauhan). Later Sweety and Abhi become friends and work together in exposing an illegal weight-reducing therapy run by “Size Zero” Satyanand (played by Prakash Raj). The friendship turns into love, Sweety on her wedding day a gentleman elopes with Abhi. The End.
The screenplay travels in a predictable fashion throughout, nowhere does it engage you in any fashion.
