Charlie Chaplin 2 (2019) starring Prabhu Deva, Nikki Galrani and Prabhu is a romance-comedy with the most callow plot you can imagine – A bridegroom getting intoxicated, sends an offensive message to the bride and after becoming sober, tries unsuccessfully many times to retrieve her cellphone before she sees the message.
The first half was nothing to write about, but the film gets saved with a foolery second half. Director Sakthi Chidambaram has bet the movie on just two things – Prabhu Deva‘s dance in the songs and the glamour quotient of Nikki Galrani – both of them delivering on their promises. Special mention has to be given to the “Chinna Machan” song composed by Amrish, sung by Senthil Ganesh & Rajalakshmi, which has already grossed nearly 7 million views on YouTube and the choreography was energetic too!
