Sri Ramanuja (1017-1137) is one of the most important exponents and Acharya (Guru) of Sri Vaishnavism tradition within Hinduism. This year (2017), marks the 1000th year of his birth. Many organisations have been celebrating the occasion with programs remembering Sri Ramanuja’s life and teachings. LIFCO Books, a leading publishing house in Tamil Nadu which was founded in 1929 by my Grandfather Sarmaji and now headed by my cousin T.N.C.Vijayasarathy is organising a series of events to remember Sri Ramanuja – titled Bhagavad Ramanuja Sahasrabdi.
