Merry Happy Whatever (2019) was a comedy series on Netflix. It is about an extended family in California trying to celebrate Christmas. It was not renewed after the first season, but I liked the series, there were a few enjoyable moments, you may want to check it out.
Don Quinn (played by Dennis Quaid) is the patriarchy of a family in California who is living with his elder daughter & son-in-law, his son and daughter-in-law, and celebrates Christmas, his second daughter comes home after a divorce and is joined by Quinn’s youngest daughter Emmy (played by Bridgit Mendler) and her boyfriend Brent (played by Brent Morin). Brent tries his best to win the blessings of Mr Quinn for his planned proposal to Emmy, did he gets it has been told with humour. In between, there are conflicts between the couples and how the family manages to celebrate Christmas.
