Don’t Trouble the Trouble (2026), this magic film fails Fahadh Faasil

Raw rating

For a movie that was about magic, a little girl, a mystery and a talented actor like Fahadh Faasil, the film could have been loads of fun. Unfortunately, it turned out to be ordinary fare. Mangoidiots gives it a Raw.

The movie opens with an interesting premise of a young girl who loves magic and wants to be the greatest magician in the world. Then we see Fahadh Faasil as Suri, a struggling ambulance driver who does many things to earn money. These two meet due to an unfortunate situation, and what happens next is the story.

With the power the little girl has, I was expecting Suri to come up with interesting money-making schemes, like in Suriya‘s Massu Engira Masilamani (2015). But the screenplay just drifts from one incident to another with no real aim. Almost all the characters in the film lack definition, and we can’t connect with any of them. The only memorable character was the one played by Venkatesh Kakumanu, who appears as Suri’s loyal friend.

For what should have been a humorous kids’ film, the climax was unnecessarily tragic and silly in every sense.
