Shocking news!

Mr Puneet Agarwal, M.D. of Path India (Ltd), a leading highways and toll-plaza operator in the country, died in an accident at his farmhouse in Indore on the 31st December 2019, along with 3 others from his family.

I had met Mr Puneet a year ago, through a mutual friend Mr Sanjay Vyas. Mr Puneet came out as a kind and simple person. In the first (and sadly the last) meeting itself, he generously welcomed me and another mutual friend to his office, showed us around his factories and personally drove us to his farm and farmhouse in the Mhow region of Indore.

The highlight of the visit was when he cajoled me to try the zipline he had installed in his farmhouse for his grandson; he demoed it once and then wired himself along with me to prove it was all safe; it was an unforgettable experience for me. The farmhouse was about 80% complete when we were there on the first week of December 2018. Mr Puneet was proud about the place he was getting built, he was happy to show us around every room, the compost plant which utilised all the organic waste from his offices to produce natural fertilizer, the organic fruits (I tasted the best strawberries there, freshly plucking out mysefl) he was growing there and so on.

It is unbelievable and sad to read that, in that same farmhouse he showed us around and we had a good time, this accident that killed him, daughter, grandson, son-in-law and 2 others had happened. Tragic!

I pray to the almighty for the departed souls to attain moksha and for the surviving family members to gain the courage to get over this and continue his work.

Om Shanti. Om Shanti!
