With the latest instalment of Tom Cruise starring M.I. film series getting released later this month, I watched the original that set the ball rolling in 1996 – Mission Impossible. The basic plot of a secret agent being framed by conspirators and the honest agent working against his own agency is not unique, but the screenplay and brilliant action sequences make the film a delight to watch. Credit should go to David Koepp, and Director Brian De Palma for making an action-spy film that was engaging even after twenty-seven years of its making.

This movie has influenced so many other movies in Hollywood, Kollywood and beyond. It’s a classic!

The M.I. series is leaving Amazon Prime Video platform in India in the next few weeks, so catch them when you can.
