Wonder Woman (2017) was a visual treat, the Amazon island abode on Themyscira was breathtaking coupled with Gal Gadot‘s high-paced stunts, told with the backdrop of World War I. Compared to that the sequel Wonder Woman 1984 (2020) is a simpler film told with the backdrop of the geopolitics and the oil economy of the 1980s. I liked WW84, but it was not in the league of the first film.

Chris Pine has done his supporting role well, I enjoyed his part. The antagonists in WW84 were tamer and not explored in detail to make me feel rage against them. WW84 is a modern-day Indiana Jones narrated with a DC super-hero(ine) character.
