Hitler (2024) is a quintessential Vijay Antony film. While the plot is robust and contains some commendable elements, it ultimately leaves you unimpressed. The screenplay unfolds predictably, lacking the twists and surprises that could have elevated the film. As a result, “Hitler” falls short of expectations, earning a ‘Raw’ rating from Mangoidiots.

Vijay Antony plays Selva, a newcomer to the city who falls for a local girl. This mirrors his earlier film “Romeo,” where the female lead drinks while he abstains. This trend of normalizing drinking, regardless of gender, is concerning and not something I appreciate. Meanwhile, Gautham Vasudev Menon portrays a police officer investigating a series of political assassinations targeting the gang members of a corrupt and ruthless state minister. Redin Kingsley delivers a solid supporting performance, thankfully avoiding his usual high-pitched shouting. Charan Raj shines as the menacing minister, proving that a powerful villain is crucial for any hero-centric film.

Vijay Antony’s role suits him well, with limited emotional range but plenty of action scenes, which he executes effectively. Riya Suman performs her role competently. Gautham Vasudev Menon’s character starts off strong, handling the minister’s case with a fresh and impressive approach. Unfortunately, his role loses momentum in the second half, fading into the background.

The film maintains a good pace and remains engaging until the climax, which is clichéd and disappointing. Overall, “Hitler (2024)” is an engaging action film, but it doesn’t offer much beyond that.
