What makes a movie?

La Jetée (1962) answers this question by being an extraordinary film that was made from a series of still pictures; series of audio clips; brilliant direction and for a running time of just 28 minutes. This is a French Sci-Fi film by Director Chris Marker that is about a time travel experiment that happens in the aftermath of World War 3. The story telling is based on a single frame of a woman seen on a sunny day in Paris.

It is not difficult to identify a lot many time-travel and apocalyptic films that came in the last five decades to have been influenced by this film’s story.

Don’t miss to watch this film if you get a chance. If you are lucky you can find it on YouTube.
