ISHQIYA, starring Naseeruddin Shah, Arshad Warsi and Vidya Balan. For Naseeruddin Shah and Arshad Warsi their role may have been a cakewalk and they have done it nicely. It was Vidya Balan who catches our attention by performing with ease whether in scenes she appears as a typical housewife managing the household, when she appears glamorous and on scenes where she handles a Rifle or a Gun – simply brilliant performance by her. The movie touches a subject that is kind of Taboo in Indian films – two men falling in love with a married woman (they believe to be a Widow) and she engages knowingly in infidelity. But the story is told by the director skilfully with no trace of any vulgarity.

Must watch, don’t miss.

[Today I watched this movie on way from Chennai to New Delhi by Jet Airways, as I was lucky to get a business class seat available as an upgrade using my Frequent Flyer voucher]
