Extraction (2020) starring Christopher Hemsworth is a Bollywood fashioned action-thriller available on Netflix. A mercenary from Australia is hired to safely extract the kidnapped son of a Mumbai underworld don. Most of the story happens in Dhaka, Bangladesh. This is a typical action film that will keep you engaged, but I was disappointed to find nothing more than the stunts – a bit of an emotion play or love helps and that was absent here.
Normally in this genre, you will see two gangs shooting and outsmarting each other, here the mercenary’s opponent role is played mostly by the Bangladesh Police and the Army who are controlled by the local don who had done the kidnapping. The film from the beginning till the end is a non-stop action with bullets flying over on all directions, a handful of chases, running and brutal killings.
Christopher Hemsworth has done the action stunts very well. Rudhaksh Jaiswal impresses us with his acting as the young boy who is seen as a live pawn by the various players.
