Unbelievable that our beloved doctor is no more and he passed away today morning due to Heart Attack – he took good care of all his patient’s heart!

I went to consult him last Wednesday (10th June 2020) and he was in his usual wits and we were chatting about Coronavirus. I never imagined that will be our last meeting.

Dr R Ravindranath, M.D., F.C.C.P. Cardiologist, (aged 70) was our family doctor for the last three decades. He was a gentle, humorous and kind person. Just a visit to his clinic will do miracles to our wellbeing, giving us the mental strength to handle the illness.

We got introduced to him around the time my father suffered a mild heart issue when he was approaching his sixties – from that time my father was in the safe care of Dr Ravi till my father passing away at the age of 83. My dad had full trust on Dr Ravi, and he diligently followed the treatments and medications prescribed by Dr Ravi who used to describe my father as a textbook patient for his discipline in following the regimen. Three years ago, when my dad fell from his bed and was in a coma for 10 days before breathing his last, Dr Ravindranath guided & counselled me on the decisions – having a family doctor known for years was invaluable, it is not only their wisdom but their warmth and the trust you have on them that helps you get through the tough times.

I am deeply saddened. He was a father figure for me, a well-wisher who was there for our family. May Lord Lakshmi Hayagreeva give moksha to his soul. My deepest condolences to his family.
