Chennai’s Kamaraj Domestic Airport had always lagged on restaurant choices. For many years it only had a Sangeetha Vegetarian outlet in the arrival parking area. After you clear security check, there were two airport lounges and few snack counters, that’s all. Now finally, it has got two reputed brand restaurants – ID and Copper Chimney. ID serves South Indian vegetarian food like Idli, Dosa, Pongal and more; Copper Chimney serves both Veg & Non-Veg North Indian cuisine like Naan, Palak Paneer, Kebab & Chicken Biryani. Both are at level 3 (one level up to departure) of the domestic terminal near Gate 3.
